Eating the right foods after a workout is essential



After all, our body runs off of the foods we consume. Our energy, strength, and recovery process is dependent on how we replenish our body. Here’s a quick list of foods to consider post-workout.


Complex carbs that revitalize the body’s blood sugar levels with an excellent source of fiber and protein.

  • Brown Rice

  • Quinoa

  • Beans


Great source of protein and healthy fats to absorb the nutrients

  • Nuts

  • Fish

  • Chicken

  • Hardboiled egg

  • Avocado


A combination of fruits and vegetables gives the body the necessary nutrients

It’s important to note that foods may fall into many categories, but may be best suited when you may need a particular nutrient in your body. For example, avocado has a small number of carbs, so it’s best not to eat an avocado when you may need carbs.


Hydration is the key to a healthy recovery. Drinking the right amount of water is essential after your workout and throughout the day.
